FAQ
- Q: Is there currently a waiting list for my child to start at Dynamics EIP?
A: There is no waitlist for your child to start at Dynamics EIP. We believe in providing immediate opportunities for your child to begin working towards meeting their full potential. We have an open and ongoing enrolment policy, which means that your child can join our program at any time throughout the year. We also aim to minimize waiting time between registration, school placement assessment and attending class. - Q: Is a fee subsidy available for my child?
A: Our program is supported by SG Enable. This means that Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) may be eligible for a government subsidy. To find out more, please contact SG Enable directly through their website www.sgenable.sg or call 1800-858-5885. - Q: Are all the EIP staff Speech Therapists?
A: Our EIP staff consist of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Therapists, and Psychologists, and specially trained Early Intervention Teachers. Our highly qualified teachers are trained and experienced in both mainstream and special education settings. We use an integrated multidisciplinary approach in order to give your child maximal opportunities to generalise their new skills from the therapy sessions, to classroom sessions, and to the home environment. - Q: How do I know how my child is progressing in the sessions?
A: The staff will provide verbal feedback about your child’s progress and activities every day. The teachers will also send home a weekly Parent Feedback Form that provides you with details about how your child is progressing across several domains related to their IEP goals. At the end of each semester you will receive a formalised Progress Report that will provide you with detailed information about your child’s progress related to their IEP goals. - Q: How will my child be grouped?
A: In order for your child to be placed into a suitable classroom environment, our expert therapists conduct a compulsory school placement assessment. The assessment provides us with insight into the strengths and challenges experienced by your child. The report obtained from the assessment will indicate which class is best suited for your child. Classes are formed carefully based on a combination of your child’s ability as well as age, to ensure each child has the necessary support to help them reach their full potential and individualized goals. - Q: Do you still cover age appropriate academics even though my child will be receiving group OT and ST?
A: Yes, our program ensures that your child will cover age and ability appropriate academics, as well as skill development through our integrated group Speech Therapy (ST) and Occupational Therapy (OT). - Q: What is the youngest age you will take?
A: Generally, we recommend it is more suitable for children under 2 years of age to attend one-to-one Speech and/or Occupational Therapy before they enter into a formal group setting. At present, we accept children from 2.5 years. However, if you believe your child would be more suited for the group-setting, but they are less than 2.5 years old, we will consider their admittance on a case-by-case basis. - Q: Do you provide transport?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to provide transport at this time. The children attending our centre are from all over Singapore, Malaysia and overseas. We often suggest that you speak with other parents who attend our centre to privately arrange shared transport at your convenience.
