Handwriting is vital to academic learning. Even with technology, the ability to write legibly and effectively is important as it also encourages learning and brain development. Children who struggle with writing can benefit greatly from Occupational Therapy, where proper handwriting is taught and a love for writing is developed in a fun and child-centred way.
Dynamics offers “Write it Right” group sessions, aimed at developing a child’s confidence and skills in handwriting. These engaging and functional group sessions enable the child to build the foundational skills of handwriting through games, step-by-step instructions and multisensory learning. These group sessions are organised by our Occupational Therapists who specialise in the development of handwriting skills.
The one-hour long group session is held twice a week for a 3-week duration. Each child will be given activities to practise at home, which will assist in skill development and maintenance. Parents will also receive a summary report of their child’s progress at the conclusion of the programme.
