Counselling and Psychotherapy can help children who exhibit behavioural problems or are unable to cope with difficult circumstances.
We offer counselling services to children with:
Our experienced in-house Psychologists will recommend the most suitable intervention approach for each child. The duration of the counselling session will depend on the individual child’s needs and the severity of the difficulties faced. Sessions can run for 60 minutes and are available in three formats: one-on-one, as a family or a specific (e.g. social skills, communication) group (4–8 children per group). Our sessions are conducted in a child-friendly, engaging fun and cheerful environment.
Counselling support is also available to young people and their parents, with the focus on enabling families to cope with difficult circumstances and providing appropriate techniques and strategies to help them manage these difficulties. We use the widely known Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the here and now, looking at individuals’ thoughts, feelings and actions as a means of understanding behaviour. By becoming aware of these elements and the impact they have on our daily lives, positive changes can be made.
