For adults who would like to improve their Cognitive Skills and fluency in Literacy – we can help!
If you have been diagnosed with Dyslexia or suspect you may have Dyslexia, it is not too late for intervention through Educational Therapy. With the modern advancements in the knowledge of brain plasticity and a targeted programme that suits the needs of adults, reading and writing skills can be improved regardless of your age.
Cognitive profiling and Literacy programmes can be customised for both adults and college students. Education Therapists will develop individualised plans unique to the individual, whether they are at college or desiring to improve their reading and writing skills for professional or social purposes.
For college students who require special exemptions and/or additional support, we provide a Psychological Assessment with a detailed report and recommendations.
For all adult learners, an Education Assessment can create a profile of Cognitive strengths and weaknesses. This profile can be used to plan programmes for the improvement of Memory skills, Fluency and Auditory/Visual Processing, which are crucial to the improvement of Literacy.
While such a profile is useful in identifying areas for improvement, it is possible to proceed with a Literacy programme based on personal evidence in the areas of reading, comprehension, writing skills and vocabulary extension which are most appropriate to the individual’s life and career.
All sessions will be conducted one-on-one with an emphasis on privacy and to put the adult learner at ease with the situation and in control of a personal plan that will address their needs and interests. Our Therapists will explain the activities and how they relate to the individual as well as how these activities can be implemented at home to promote long-term improvement in both cognitive processing and literacy.
